Currently the trustees of the Creeting St Mary Charities are:
Paul Stephenson, Rachel Craggs, Kathryn Martin, Pam Day, and Dave Primmer.
Collectively, they oversee the governance of the charities including the award of grants. They are supported in the fulfilment of their roles and responsibilities by a clerk who is David Blackburn. None of the trustees or clerk receive payment for the performance of their duties.
All funds generated are used to fulfil the objective of benefitting the poor in the Ancient Parishes of Creeting All Saints, Creeting St Mary and Creeting St Olave. In exceptional circumstances, residents of neighbouring parishes may, at the discretion of the trustees, be considered for grant support.
The Creeting St Mary Welfare Charities is a small charitable trust that offers grants each year to local people in conditions of need, hardship, or distress, typically by reason by reason of:
All grants must be awarded in accordance with the scheme which established the Trust.
Whilst generally, the window for applications is open all year round, those entering higher education are invited to apply between 1st July and 15th September each year (to fit in with the programme of meetings of the trustees), with the expectation that any grants will be paid to successful applicants before the end of October.
Those seeking retirement grants are invited to apply by 31st October, with the expectation that retirement cheques will be issued to successful applicants within the first ten days of the new year.

Applications should be delivered to 1 All Saints Road, Creeting St Mary, Ipswich IP6 8NF (directly opposite the Village School).
Applicants are asked to ensure that they present to their banks any cheques issued within 14 days of their receipt, and to note that cancellation charges may apply to any applicant who has lost or misplaced their grant cheque.
The Creeting St Mary Welfare Charities hold data which is directly related to the performance of their duties. Any member of the public has the right to inspect any data held about them by contacting the clerk. This is known as a (data) subject access request.
The Creeting St Mary Welfare Charities have adopted various policies including a Conflicts of Interest Policy, Data Protection Policy Reserves Policy and Safeguarding Policy, which relate to the conduct of their affairs. The Clerk has been appointed as Data Protection Officer and Safeguarding Lead for the Charities.
