On Wednesday June 15th the Creeting St Mary women’s institute held their annual garden party.
On Friday 26th May we had the pleasure of listening to the talented Lucy Roper, who entertained the community that dropped in for a drink at Jubilee Village Hall Creeting St Mary. Lucy sang songs old and new and had many people joining in and dancing! Lucy spends her days as a full-time primary teacher, along with running her own business; much of her spare time is used singing in musicals, she has been cast in Spotlights the musical being held in three theatres, Norwich, London and Lowestoft. Creeting St Mary celebrated the coronation of King Charles III in style with a barn dance, a field fayre and a big clean-up of the village and churchyard.
On Wednesday May 10th the Creeting St Mary women’s institutes speaker was Margo Harrison and Linus, the topic “Hearing Dogs for the deaf”.
The Creeting St Mary Women’s Institute would like to thank everyone who supported their cake stall and purchased tickets for the coronation hamper prize draw, we hope you all enjoyed the sweet treats, thank you to all the Creeting St Mary women’s institute members who donated the cakes, and the members who set up and manned the stall, there where a wide variety of treats on offer and many of the community who purchased came back for seconds! It was lovely to see and talk to you all.
The last Soup lunch is currently programmed in just over a week’s time. This particular event will no doubt return in the autumn.
